Rising Canadian Country Artist Karli June to Perform at Canadian Music Week on June 8

Celebrates 1 Million Career Streams Milestone
Rising Ontario country artist Karli June has been selected to perform during the upcoming Canadian Music Week in Toronto, ON. Her full band performance will take place at the Wheatsheaf Tavern on Wednesday June 8 at 8:15pm EST.
The show will follow Karli’s CMAOntario Awards weekend performance in London, Ontario, and concert goers can expect Karli to perform tracks from her debut EP, Where You Come From, which was released in February via The Orchard. The EP has propelled Karli to an impressive 1 million career streams to date and at Country radio, her empowering anthem “Makes You Pretty” recently earned Karli the title of Acadia Broadcasting‘s first ever Breakout Artist for the month of May.
Despite the pandemic, 2021 was a solid building year for the emerging artist. Karli opened for award-winning Country music group The Washboard Union in August at the Saskatoon Jazz Festival, was chosen to participate in the prestigious 2021 TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship powered by SOCAN Foundation and was chosen as 1 of 3 finalists representing Ontario in the 2021 nationwide Jim Beam Talent Search.
Born and raised on a farm in Listowel, Ontario, June sang in her church’s choir, and at local fairs and singing competitions, before teaching herself guitar and making her initial songwriting attempts as a teenager. Inspired by Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain and Kacey Musgraves, she recorded her first two singles in 2016 with CCMA Award-winning producer/guitarist Jason Barry, which led to June landing spots at marquee Canadian country music festivals such as Boots & Hearts, where she shared the stage with many Canadian and American country music luminaries.
