A great place for bubble tea and more!
Last month, we were invited to the newly opened branch of THE ALLEY at Erin Mills Mall, Toronto. For those not familiar with THE ALLEY, it’s a bubble tea chain from Taiwan that has now opened its one of many stores in Canada.
The moment we stepped into the place we were transported to a different world. It was like being in an alternate reality where besides the traditional tables, chairs with comfortable cushioned sofas, there was a soothing and inviting atmosphere. The place was adorned with bright lights, and there was comfortable seating available. It felt like a lounge more than a tea shop. The menu was quite extensive, and it took us a while to decide what to order amidst the wide variety of drinks.
THE ALLEY is known for making their own sugar cane syrup. By picking the all-natural, high quality sugar canes, boiling process in house creates the most original flavour.
We did get on one track since all three of us had eyes on different drinks. Here is a list of everything we tried at THE ALLEY.
Deerioca – Newest Launch
THE ALLEY just launched a new line of drinks called the Deerioca series. The series features three different drinks, all of which are made with brown sugar deer balls.
THE ALLEY launched the three flavors: Deerioca Fever, Deerioca Matcha, and Deerioca Puff. The Deerioca Fever is a brown sugar deer ball fresh milk/soy milk product. TheDeerioca Matcha is a brown sugar deer ball matcha fresh milk/soy milk product.
The Deerioca Fever and Deerioca Matcha are both made with brown sugar deer balls. The Deerioca Puff is made with shikamaru pouri. All three products are available in Fresh milk / Soy Milk variants. With its three delicious flavors, the Deerioca series is sure to become a favorite among Toronto’s foodies.
THE ALLEY insists on making the Deerioca from scratch: making the dough, kneading and rolling the dough into small balls, this procedure creates better texture and aroma for the tapioca. Each bite is unique, satisfying the craving for the perfect taste.
Taro Ball Series
Hojicha Milk Tea with Mashed Taro & Taro Balls is a delicious and healthy drink that is perfect for any occasion. This tea is made with hojicha, a type of green tea that is roasted, which gives it a unique flavor.
The tea is then mixed with milk and sweetened with sugar. The taro balls are made from boiled taro root that is mashed and mixed with tapioca flour, sugar, and water.
Green Milk Tea with Taro Ball is everything you could want in a winter beverage. It’s warm, it’s comforting, and it’s packed with flavor.
